ASA STUDIO seeks out independent artisans across Japan, travelling to the places where they live and work to discover pieces that speak to us.
We build relationships directly with artisans in the places where they create—often small practices whose work is rarely encountered beyond their own communities. Acting as a link between these makers and a wider world, we bring their work into new spaces, projects and conversations.
Thoughtfully selected and intentionally small, our collection is shaped by the people, places and stories we encounter along the way.

For projects requiring something more specific, we work closely with you to understand what you have in mind and explore the possibilities with our artisans. From variations of existing works to bespoke pieces and larger quantities, we facilitate the conversation from initial idea through to production.

We work with hospitality, retail, interior design, galleries and other creative businesses, connecting Japanese makers with new spaces and ideas. From initial conversations through to production and delivery from Japan, we facilitate the process with a personal and considered approach.
